Face Painting

While the kids were at the rodea they wanted to get their face painted. I have never let them do this because it is a little expensive. I gave in this time and let them pick whatever they wanted. Konner wanted the dagger with nasty blood and Kyndall wanted the beautiful mermaid face.

A day at the Rodeo

Bluebonnets

While my mom was here visiting we took the kids to get their picture in the bluebonnets. It ended up being colder than we thought that morning so the pictures didn't turn out that great because they were so cold.

I ain't gonna paint no more

Konner was home sick from school for 3 days with the flu. Thank goodness it wasn't the throwing up kind. I am not a good mother to kids who are throwing up.
He decided that he wanted to paint while he was at home , so I took that opportunity to do a little school. We pulled out the book, I Ain't Gonna Paint No More, and I read it while he and Chloe painted. They had so much fun!

Sharing Stickers

First I want to say that I am sorry for not posting in what seems like FOREVER.
The other day I was a friend's little boy, Grayson. That day I was going to take Grayson and Chloe to the zoo (Laine and Michael were going also). While I was busy getting clothes and bags ready I saw that Grayson had gotten into his bag and into all of the stickers. He was sharing so sweetly with Chloe that I didn't make him put them back. I just had to get a couple pictures.

My tree is a little off...

I have a small tree in my backyard that I planted because it is supposed to change colors in the fall. Here in Texas we don't see a lot of foliage, so I was hoping to have a little piece in my yard. Well, we went through the fall and then through december and it never changed. It just stayed green. I was starting to get a little upset that I had missed the beautiful burgandy color that it is supposed to turn.
Then all of a sudden in the middle of January it decides that it is time. So here we are fixing to start spring and my tree is just now turning for the fall. I hope that this means that it won't produce the beautiful white flowers that it usually does in the spring. Oh well!!

Talking to Kawka

Chloe loves to talk on the phone. Everytime that I call Kawka she wants to talk. She would talk for an hour if I would let her. Not too long again she would let you put the phone up to her ear and then when Kawka would start talking she would run away. Just watching her hold the phone and carry on a conversation is the cutest thing. She is growing up too fast. My baby is going to be two in less then 3 months.

Meet Molly

We have a new addition to the family. I went and lost my mind and got the kids a puppy. They absolutely love her!! She is going to be so spoiled. All they want to do is carry her around like a baby.

Are you kidding me?!?!?!

The other day I was at the mall and had some time to kill. I decided to venture into Janie and Jack and drool over all of the things that I can't afford. As soo as I entered the store this dress caught my eye.
This picture doesn't do it justice. It is simple yet so sweet. I started picturing Chloe with her blonde hair and blue eyes prancing around in this beautiful dress. "It can't be that much" I thought.
I go to look at the price and almost fell over....
$48.00
Forty eight dollars!!! You have got to be kidding me!! There isn't five dollars worth of fabric there.
I put the dress back and left the store. I didn't want to continue looking around and see something else that I would want.

Wild Woman Hair

First I have to say that Kyndall has ALOT of hair. She has had a ton of hair since she was around two. We keep it long because if it was short I think that it would resemble a mushroom.
Well I decided that I would try to do this cool twisting hairdo on her. Here is what her hair looked like after wearing the twisting hairdo for two days and then taking it out.

It was scary!!

New Years resolutions

I don't know if I want to call these news years resolutions because they never stick past the first week. Maybe I will just say that this is a litst of things that I would like to try do this new year. So far I have been really good at some of them.

1. To be a better homemaker.
I want to be better at keeping my house clean and the laundry done. I would also like to become better at cooking.

2. To be a more playful mom.
I don't really like to play, but I want to really work at playing with my kids daily.

3. Keep my car clean.
My car can get so out of control with clutter and other things. Since my kids shoes always end up not making it inside I think that I might install a shoe rack in my car.

4. Organize my house.
This is a big one. We have way too much stuff. I recently read a book called The house that cleans itself. The author has some really great ideas for getting your organized and staying that way.

5. Put together a Home Management Binder
Visit http://myblessedhome.blogspot.com/ for ideas on how to put together a HMB.

6. Drink more water.
I don't like water. I have a hard time drinking the stuff plain, but I need to get some in. So maybe I will start with 24 ounces and then go from there.

7. Exercise at least 5 times a week.

I am sure that there are a dozen more but for right now that is all that I have.

SHOPPING!!

Thanksgiving day mom, Katie, and I found out that at midnight that night the outlet mall was opening for Black Friday sales. If you were the first 300 people in your pajamas in line at midnight then you received a goodie bag. One of the goodies was a pair of pjs from Jockey. We were already going to hit the Black Friday sales. ( I LOVE shopping that day!) So mom and I thought that a couple hours earlier wouldn't be too bad. Katie wasn't so much for it, but figured that if she wanted to be cool and not become labeled as an "OLD" woman she better come along for the fun. We ended up getting there at 11pm and there was a line, but it didn't look too long. We stood there for a little bit only to find out that they had already giving out the vouchers for the free goodie bags. Those 300 people were in line at 8pm.
Are you kidding me!?!? Oh well! We walked around alittle bit until the stores started opening around 11:30.
We shopped at the outlet mall until 2am then headed home to change out of our pjs and into regular clothes. We got changed and headed to Kohls which was opeing at 4am. To make a long story short, we shopped the night and day away and didn't finally make it home until 1pm the next day. It was taking everything in us to stasy awake on the way home. But we really did have so much fun!!

Chloe on her way to school

A lady at my mom's church gave Chloe abunch of clothes and this dress was one of the items. I thought that it was perfect to wear to the christmas party at her school. She was an instant hit. Everyone wanted to show her off in her little "Santa" dress.
